VGM Members – We Want You to Share Your Expertise as a Speaker at Heartland Conference 2019

VGM is now accepting proposals from prospective speakers for our annual Heartland Conference to be held June 10-12 in our hometown of Waterloo, Iowa.

For more than 15 years, Heartland Conference has offered a remarkable lineup of education and networking opportunities targeting the needs and concerns of VGM members. The conference is known for its hospitality, connections made, and quality education provided for health care professionals.

VGM Members – We Want YOU to Speak

We are looking for members who want to share their knowledge with other members. If you have knowledge and experiences to share, Heartland 2019 is the year to do it. Submit now!

Heartland’s robust education program is designed to ensure that attendees, no matter what role they serve, leave each session equipped to grow professionally while earning CEUs,” said Sarah Conger, VGM’s director of Events and Heartland Conference chairperson. “Providing dynamic speakers to share their expertise and share best business practices is vital so attendees leave with much more than a great experience during their visit to VGM’s hometown.”

A Bright Future Ahead

The future of HME is bright, and we want the Heartland Conference to reflect that. We are asking that all presenters incorporate a future outlook into your presentations. What do attendees need to be thinking about to be successful now and in the future?

With eight education tracks to fill, we’re looking for presenters to offer their expertise on a variety of topics, including business leadership and management, retail, sleep and respiratory, rehab, operations, sales and marketing, home accessibility, technology and regulatory.

“Speaking at Heartland is truly an honor and a privilege,” said Miriam Lieber, president of Lieber Consulting LLC. “The warmth and tireless energy exhibited by VGM staff combined with genuine Midwest hospitality makes presenting at Heartland a highlight of my year. Meeting old friends and colleagues in addition to making new business acquaintances in a familial and casual environment is always a real benefit of my time in Waterloo. Being in the company of other talented and skilled speakers makes VGM’s Heartland a conference you won’t want to miss!”

A Great Face Time Opportunity

The three-day conference not only provides presenters the opportunity to share their expertise but also to attend networking and social events. According to Conger, presenting at Heartland is an effective way to increase visibility.

“For presenters, Heartland Conference is more than sharing your expertise,” said Conger. “It’s an opportunity for one-on-one time with our members and vendors, other presenters and VGM associates. It’s a great way to introduce or reintroduce yourself to the HME community.”

Speaker proposals for Heartland Conference are due Nov. 30. Those interested should visit www.vgmheartland.com/speak to complete the online form, or contact Heartland Education Chair Jill Blaser via email at [email protected] or call 855-755-6922.
