Reimbursement Rules: Doing the Right Thing at the Right Time

Program Description:

This Billing & Reimbursement Road Show is a hands-on workshop that takes you through the Medicare billing process from start to finish. We will discuss basic billing rules for all DME, as well as how to work through a denied claim. We will review the effective use of ABNs, how to bill for repairs, and the proper documentation requirements for Mobility Assist Equipment. Fraud and abuse issues will be addressed and current medical policy updates.

Learning Objectives:

• Perform proper Medicare billing procedures for all DME and repairs.
• Identify medical policy updates and changes.
• Explain effective use of ABNs.
• Identify documentation requirements for Mobility Assist Equipment.
• Perform proper follow up procedures when receiving a denied or rejected claim.
• Define fraud and abuse issues relating to DME.

Cancellation Policy:

**NOTICE: There is a $50 cancellation fee per person. If it is less than three business days before the show the registration is non-refundable; however, your registration can be applied to another attendee or VGM Education event. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule this event. If we reschedule or cancel, registered students will be notified immediately. The prepaid registrants will be eligible for a full refund or can reschedule for another Education event.
